From Hollins
I believe that compassion, kindness, and truth in equal measure are the keys to unlocking authentic peace and wellness. I am passionate about creating safe spaces for children, teens, and adult individuals to first receive that kindness and truth, and then learn to offer it to themselves. I believe that the relationship we form as therapist and client can be a safe space for you to cultivate relational healing that will spread to other relationships in your life. I consider it a great privilege to hold your story with tenderness and grace as you re-story your life moving forward.
Theoretical Approach
Hollins uses an assimilative and embodied approach that draws from theoretical modalities such as Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). When working with children ages 4-10, she utilizes Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) to help clients process their world through play at a developmentally appropriate level. Hollins has experience working with a broad range of presenting problems including anxiety, depression, trauma, childhood trauma and abuse, ADHD, emotion regulation issues, social skills development, childhood behavioral concerns, parenting, grief, and life transitions. If desired, Hollins is able to integrate spirituality and artistic elements into the therapeutic process.
